The consequences of bomb attacks
In
1961 the South Tyrolean struggle for Autonomy intensifies and there are
a series of bomb attacks. They make a big impact in the media. As a result
the number of Italian tourists coming to South Tyrol remains low for years,
but Germans and Austrians are actually stimulated to come - a holiday here
represents a symbolic gesture of support.
