Full speed ahead
The
Brenner trains cover the distance between Innsbruck and Bozen in only six
hours. The train is four times as fast as the stagecoach. Travellers rejoice
in the extraordinary new speed, but among the locals the train evokes only
fear and loathing. They offer votive pictures in thanks for protection
from the monster.
