New book on Sissi published |
Since Friday, 7 March, a new Touriseum publication has been on sale. The book, “Sissi in Meran”, is now available in bookstores: it will be officially unveiled at a press conference to take place on 27 March, followed by a Sissi afternoon to be held at Trauttmansdorff Castle on 29 March. |

Josef Rohrer is the author of the new book on the Empress Elisabeth, published by the Touriseum and the Meran City Museum through the Folio publishing house. “The book describes the unusual aspects of a role model whose private problems were actually quite commonplace. In the final analysis, she was a human being just like the rest of us”, says Mr Rohrer.
“Sissi in Meran. Kleine Fluchten einer Kaiserin” (An Empress Flees) will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Thursday, 27 March at 10.30 a.m. at the Touriseum in Trauttmansdorff Castle. Two days later, on Saturday, 29 March, the book will be the centrepiece of a “Sissi afternoon” (see related communication).
